Barbara Hill is a native Texan – born on the Gulf Coast in 1937 and has lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked for the DeMenils at the Rice Museum before opening the innovative Cusack Gallery in the early 70’s showing the challenging work of minimal and conceptual artists from around the world. Barbara has blended her background in art into her design work which has been featured in Metropolitan Home, the New York Times and Dwell. She has four children, seven grandchildren and lives in Houston, as well as a restored dance hall in Marfa, Texas.
